Angela Bivins

Artist and songwriter, Angela Bivins, the woman behind Friends Already,  is a California native who currently resides in Switzerland. 

Friends Already: In 2025, with the intention to release a large catalog of music. Angela begun the process of a rebrand and is now in the beginning stages of sharing her work. As a Music Artist this  music sits well in playlists that include artists like Sia, Kate Bush, Chappell Roan, Lana Del Rey, Lily Wood and the Prick, Tori Amos, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Radiohead.

Music as Angela Bivins: In 2011 her debut album, White Dragon, was nominated for “Best Pop Album” and “Best Album Packaging” at the New Mexico Music Awards.

Songwriter: In the writing room, she primarily writes as a top-liner spanning a multitude of pop genres. Since relocating to Switzerland in 2019, her focus shifted from teaching to songwriting. In 2022 she joined an online songwriting community called SongChasers and has been co-writing songs in multiple genres. She is currently studying Music Production and is building her brand and music catalog.

Educator: From 2006 to 2016, at her previous residence in Santa Fe, NM, USA, she founded and successfully ran Another Bird of Song, a private music teaching school which included summer music camps, recitals, and lessons for clients with Parkinson's Disease.

Bands: From 2001 to 2002 Angela completed post-baccalaureate coursework in music composition and music education. During this time she was the lead singer and songwriter in a short-lived local Arcata, California band called Telekinetikitty.

Education: While pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration at Cal-Poly Humboldt, piano and music caught her attention. She then pursued a double major and in 2000 graduated with Honors; earning both a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
